INDIAN FOOTBALL TIGERS AND TIGRESSES TRAINING & WORKSHOP
St. John’s School has hosted Training and Workshop of football, entitled 'Indian Football Tigers and Tigresses Training and Workshop’. Training was organized on St. John’s green ground, and the workshop was held in the Auditorium. Around 100 students and parents were attended the event.
The workshop was hosted by renowned football experts Ms. Julia Farr, Asia Head, Mr. Borussia Dortmund, Mr. Anselm Küchle, Dy Managing Director, Intercontinental Football Institute, Germany, Gerhard Riedl, CEO, Riespo, Austria, Philip Klöckl, CEO, Strykerlabs, Austria.
The event commenced at 7:00 am with a warm welcome extended to the esteemed guests by the Scouts and Guides students. Each guest was welcomed with a traditional Tilak which was followed by a symbolic gesture of appreciation in the form of saplings presented by Principal Ms. Reeja Ninan. Ms. Julia Farr spearheaded the training session alongside her team and the school's Physical Training Instructor (PTI). The session took up with engaging parents and students in fun games and recreational activities related to football, gradually stimulating into skill-building exercises and practice matches. The students thoroughly enjoyed the training conducted by Ms. Julia and her team, showing enthusiasm and active participation throughout the session.
After the brain storming session parents and students all were set to participate in the active workshop. She had been offering valuable insights and expanding the horizons for pursuing a career in football. The active involvement of parents and their curious questions were met with expert guidance, leading to discussions on proposing football coaching courses to improve training facilities.
The workshop concluded with a personal interaction session between the guests and the school's Physical Education teachers. During this interaction, the guests expressed their willingness to provide football coaching courses to the school, highlighting their commitment to enhancing the football training facilities available to the students. Such courses would be beneficial for both the students and the PTIs, providing them with valuable knowledge and skills to further develop their football prowess.
Overall, the event proved to be a resounding success, leaving a positive impact on the students, parents, and faculty members alike. The collaborative efforts of all involved parties contributed fostering a culture of football excellence within the school community, paving the path for the future achievements in football.
