A vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere was there in St. John’s School as students prepared to exercise their voting rights. The day commenced with an Assembly setting the stage for the upcoming campaigns. Students had contested for different categories; Post of the Head Boy and Deputy Head Boy, Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl, Sports Captain and Sports vice-captain, all the four House captains and vice captains, Cultural Secretary. During the campaigning period, students had a platform to express their opinions, candidates passionately advocating for change and raising awareness about some issues. Each nominee articulated their suitability for various roles, sharing their vision, reasons, and motto with the voters.
The impact of these student campaigns extended far beyond the classroom, resonating throughout the school. Following the campaigning, Principal Ms. Reeja Ninan extended well wishes to all participants, marking the beginning of the voting process. Students eagerly cast their votes; their excitement palpable as they engaged in this democratic exercise.
